Tons and Tons of Apples
When I left Southern California, I left behind some very productive tangelo and papaya trees. My little sister kept asking if I missed them. Yes, I surely do. They were my garden babies. We ate from the tangelo tree from mid-January to July and gave away bags of it. I even shared fresh papayas with the local Chinese restaurant.

Now, in Sequim, I have not been able to keep up with the fresh cherries, strawberries, blackberries, and plums. But, it's getting cold, and I've got apples—tons and tons of apples from the backyard, from neighbors, and friendly fundraisers. There are so many apples; I am making fresh apple cider. The house simply smells amazing.
